The World CIO 200 Summit 2023 held in the heart of Baku, Azerbaijan, was a landmark event for CIOs worldwide, including myself. With the theme “Rise of the Power,” the summit brought together over 200 top Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and IT Leaders from 50 countries, and it was a journey filled with inspiration, innovation, and recognition.
Day 1: A Grand Start
The summit kicked off with a serene and energizing yoga session, symbolizing the mindfulness and focus that would be key throughout the event. As we gathered for breakfast, connections were formed, and the buzz of anticipation filled the air.
The day began with a warm welcome from Anushree Dixit, Global Head of Strategic Alliances at GEC Media Group, followed by an enlightening leadership keynote by John Mattone, a renowned executive coach and co-founder of the ILEC. Throughout the day, industry leaders and experts shared their insights, highlighting technological advancements and emerging trends.
One of the memorable moments was the launch of “BOTS: The Book of Titans,” graced by the presence of Swami Brahmaviharidas, a spiritual and humanitarian leader. As the day unfolded, thought-provoking discussions, captivating talks, and a Fireside Chat offered valuable insights into real-world experiences and success strategies.
On this day I also completed workshop and certification by John Mattone a bestselling author, the world’s top executive coach, and the founder/co-founder of four exceptional coaching and leadership development companies. John served as the executive coach to the late Steve Jobs, as well as to the former, legendary CEO of PepsiCo, Roger Enrico.
Day 2: Recognition and Achievement
Day 2 was a day of recognition and celebration. It began with a rejuvenating yoga and wellness session, followed by breakfast and networking opportunities. Anushree Dixit once again welcomed attendees, setting the stage for an impactful day.
The highlight of Day 2 was the Gala Dinner and DX Inspire Awards ceremony. It was a night of glamour and celebration, where I had the honor of receiving an award for my contributions as a CIO. The sense of achievement and recognition among peers was truly remarkable.
But the celebrations didn’t stop there. Our team also achieved a significant milestone during the summit, showcasing our collective expertise and dedication. The sense of camaraderie and shared success was a testament to the power of collaboration and teamwork.
Day 3: A Closing Chapter
The final day began with breakfast and check-out from the Baku Marriott Boulevard Hotel. It marked the conclusion of a memorable journey filled with learning, networking, and growth. The event concluded with the distribution of leadership certifications to those who had demonstrated exceptional leadership skills throughout the summit.
